1. What are Traffic Exchanges?
A guaranteed, sure fire way to gain active direct referrals for free is to use Traffic Exchanges (TE). In a nutshell, this is how a traffic exchange works. You surf a bunch of websites, earning credits, and those credits will give you views on your website. In essence, you are viewing other people’s websites in exchange for hits on your website.
If you use TE’s to market your PTC’s, only those who are interested will join, and your clicking average becomes higher as a result. You will not need to do any convincing – all you need to do is expose your website to lots of eyeballs.
What TE sites to join? We recommend the following:

is one of the most well known traffic exchanges around. They have a large user base with over 400,000 members, and that means lots of potential referrals! Their system is easy to use and they have tons of tools for you to promote your websites. EasyHits4U is definitely worth a look.

1a. What makes a good Traffic Exchange?
If you are looking for TE’s join, there are several factors that you must consider. Overlook these factors, and you may find yourself clicking tirelessly for no results.
Click to view ratio: If you surf one website, earning you 1 credit, and that 1 credit gets you 1 view to your website, this is called a 1:1 ratio. A 2:1 ratio means you have to surf 2 sites to have 1 view on your site, which is twice the work for the same result.
Surf timer: This is the number of seconds between website views as you are surfing. Each TE may have different options for surf timers and click to view ratios.
Number of users: You want to promote your sites to a large audience, don’t you? The larger the sea, the more fish you can get. This also ties in with popularity – the number of users say something about the website.
Upgrade options: If you want free credits, you have to compare upgrade prices. You want more bang for your buck. Pricing is only one thing to consider. Many TE’s offer discount packages on purchase of 3 months, 6 months, and even up to a year.
Bonus credits: What % of credits will you earn from your downlines? We would not pick anything less than 10%, otherwise, you will have to do a lot of clicking yourself. Also, how many free credits will you get monthly for upgrading?
Site design and ease of use: If a TE is confusing and hard to use, then wouldn’t your downlines think the same thing too? You may be a patient person, but your downlines might give up easily, leaving you stranded. Your time is valuable, so you shouldn’t have to put up with poorly designed websites.
Chapter 2. How to use EasyHits4U
2a. Surfing to Earn Credits
In the first option, the ratio is 2:1 meaning surf 2 sites for 1 credit. And you must view each site for 15 seconds. So to get 1 credit you need to spend 30 seconds. In the second option, you spend 20 seconds to get 1 credit. Do the math.
This is what the surf screen looks like. You will see a bar – it will go from red to green. Once the bar fills up, click the text that corresponds to the text in the image. To the right you see a banner. If you have credits assigned to your banner, this is one of the places where it will show up.
The first thing you want to do is to get some credits in your balance. Click on “Start Surfing” on the main menu. We recommend using the second option – please see image below. While people are tempted to click on the first option because the timer is shorter, it will not give you the most credits for your time.
Each time you surf 25 sites, you will receive a bonus. The bonuses are completely random. Usually it is a lottery drawing for free credits or banner impressions. So don’t miss the bonuses.
What you should do is surf a few traffic exchanges at the same time using multiple tabs. There is no point in just using one traffic exchange and waiting for the timer to go down. You want to maximize your time, surfing 3 sites will get you 3 times the credits. But don’t go overboard and open 10 sites at once, there is no way a human can do so much multi-tasking at once.
2b. Adding a New Site
From the main menu, click on “My Sites” and you will see a list of sites that you have entered and below that you will see the add website form. Enter your website into the URL, followed by the title. Standard members can only add a certain number of sites, but premium members can add unlimited websites to promote.
In the URL box type in the URL of your website. The title is not important, people won’t see this. This is for you to keep track of different sites in your account.
You should promote your capture page so you can build a list. By building a list, you are promoting all your sites at once, instead of just one at a time. People are tempted to promote just Neobux or Clixsense because it “feels” like they can get referrals faster.
This will get short term results, but it is bad long term. If someone is already in Neobux, then they will not sign up, and you would have wasted your efforts. Remember, Neobux is very famous, so don’t expect too much if you are promoting only that.
2c. Assign credits
After gaining the credits, it is time to distribute them. Based on the number of credits you have, put the credits you wish to distribute in the box that says “Assign Credits” Once you click on the Assign button, your site will become live. It will be visible when people go surfing. Now all you have to do is wait for people to sign up.
Advertise Your Capture Pages
Do you think registration pages will work? Think about it for a second. When you are surfing on traffic exchanges, you are looking to earn credits, and even if the website you are viewing catches your attention, you probably won’t take action if a registration is required. When people are surfing, they will only look at the site for 15 to 20 seconds. That is the timeframe in which we need to catch their attention.
Since we have only 15 to 20 seconds, a registration page will not catch their attention. Neither will a sales page (especially ones that require a lot of reading). A capture page is proven to be
the best way to get someone’s attention within that short timeframe, and get them to take action. All they have to do is fill in an email address, which is quick and painless.
3: Banner Ads and Text Ads
3a. Adding Banners
If you have an eye catching banner you’d like to use, then consider using banner advertising. Unlike the surfing option, only those who are interested will click on your banner, so it is a good way to get targeted traffic to your capture pages.
From the main menu, click on My Banners and you will see a list of all your banners and their statuses. Scroll down to where it says Add New Banner
If your banner is on your computer, then upload it to EasyHits4U. If your banner is hosted on your website, simply type in the file’s URL into the box.
In the target URL box, make sure you copy and paste your capture page’s URL.
Alt text is the text that appears when someone moves their mouse pointer over the banner. It’s a way to convince the person to click on it, so make it compelling, since you have only a split second to get their attention.
Check everything over, then click on Submit Banner. Your banner will be reviewed by the EasyHits4U staff and will be approved in 24 to 48 hours, so just wait patiently. Usually it is accepted within 24 hours.
Once your banner is approved, it will appear at random places in EasyHits4U. Sometimes it might show up in the member’s area, or it can show up in the surf bar (during surfing). What’s good about banner ads is that you can use split testing to see which one is the best one to use. Click on the stats link to be taken to the next screen.
Each time your banner appears on the website, it is an impression. The CTR is the number of clicks divided by the number of impressions.
So if you assign 100 impressions to your banner that receives 1 click, your CTR is 1%. The CTR is always less than 1%, so don’t be surprised. You are trying to optimize this number so you make use of your impressions.
If you have 2 banners that are live, you can compare their stats and see which one is best.
3b. Adding Text Ads
From the main menu click on My Text Ads to begin. The process for adding a text ad and assigning credits is pretty much the same for websites and banners. Just scroll down to the submission form and fill in the information. After checking over the ad text, hover text and target URL, click on the Submit button.
Like banners, text ads need to be reviewed by staff and will be approved in 24 to 48 hours. In the meantime just wait patiently and continue writing newsletters for your subscribers.
Split Test for Best Results
The only advantage to using text ads is to do split testing – like the banners, you can see the stats of every text ad you have. Compare their CTR’s to see which one performs best. Keep the one with the highest CTR and get rid of the others.
Text ads are nice to have, but don’t focus too much on them. Text ads and banner ads are always shown together, and people are more likely to click on banners than text. Use text ads for testing purposes.
So, now that you have a good performing ad, you can make use of it. Use this ad copy in your capture pages or put them into your banners. The name of the game is to optimize the number of subscribers you receive, so if you can get more by doing the same work, why not?
How to Gain Free Credits
You can gain free credits from your referrals up to 5 levels. If you upgrade, you will receive credits for 6 levels. You will earn 10% of credits from your 1st level downlines – if someone surfs 100 credits, you will receive 10 free credits.
